MCS - Another Walk In Wonderland Samples

Large Fairy Globe Card - using peels offs on the globe base and glitter on the wings of the fairy and butterflies.

Friendship Tag Book & Sleeve - I used the printed tags from the CD and decorated them with stamps, peel offs, flowers etc, all held together with a small ringbinder with various ribbons tied to it.

Acetate Fairy Card (With matching Envelope) -
The fairy silhouette was printed off onto acetate
and wrapped around a 5x7 card with a background and "Happy Birthday" printed on it, the butterflies were printed, cut out, decorated with Sakura and gems and glued to the front of the card.
Large Dancer Card - I first printed the silhouette of the dancer onto white card, then the background was printed onto orange card and attached to a 10x7 base card, I edged around the rim of the card with a black inkpad to define an edge. Simple, but effective.
Thinking Of You - The main part of the card is taken from the "My Craft Studio's "Elements" section all I had to do was print off the doves and add some mirror card and gems.
Large Butterfly Pyramage Card - Again the main part of this card is from the "Elements" section of the CD. I just pyramarged the butterfly added some "metallic domes", printed off and added a few more flowers and added the sentiment. The right of the card is cut slightly shorter than the back and I added a strip of pale lilac material, the edge of which I covered over with a thin gold peel off.

Dome Card -The fairy was printed off and coloured with Coloursoft pencils and Sakura glitter pens. The inside of the card has a printed image and I also printed a larger pair of wings fromn the butterfly for the fairy.
I covered the inside of the front with acetate so that I could then add the flowers and butterfly
Deepest Sympathy Card - I printed off the image slightly larger so that I could "dome" it over a 7x5 card, I traced around the "lacy" part with dimentual pearlized paints and added the doves and sentiment.
Find Yourself A Prince Card - Simply a printed off image with ribbons and sentiment attached.
Silhouette Card - The backgound was printed off and attached to a 5x7 card and decorated with small pink and clear gems, the front was printed onto pink card slight wide than the base card, I then cut out the oval and rectangle for the image and sentiment,  the main image and sentiment were both printed off onto acetate and attacted to the inside front of the pink card,
Because it's slightly wide than the base card you get this lovely "domed" effect.

Well that's it, I hope you liked them.

Emo Card

It's my niece's 16th Birthday soon and as she's a bit of an Emo I decided to sketch her in true Gothic style and used the same method of card I used before on the Black Deco card I just cut a different shaped front window.
The back of the card is the same colour as her skirt.(Pink & Black)
As the card opens so the purple curtains pull back to reveal the Birtday girl.
I kept the card itself pretty simple as I wanted my drawing to be the eye catching part.
I hope she likes it!?

Bagpuss Window

I thought I'd have a play around with some of the decoupage sheets of "Bagpuss" and friends that I bought a while ago.
They are printed by "The Craft House Press" and available here from my good friend Gill at Foilplay.co.uk

In the tv series Bagpuss and his pals are always found sitting in a window patiently waiting for Emily to bring them home a new "thing".

I made the window from a slightly wider sheet of card than the 5"X7" base card I backed it with accetate and attached it via flaps on each side so that the window bowed.

The "Bagpuss & Co" sign was stuck on with foam pads to give it a bit of dimension.

I think it's rather cute  ;o)

Template for Deco Card

A few people have asked me how I made the Black Deco Card (see below) with the pull flaps on the sides and "opening curtains".
I have attempted to make a template for anyone that can make sense of it to use.

After printing this template onto card, use it to cut two from your chosen card stock, cut either a Rectangle or an Oval window from the center of one.

Decorate the back of the card  -  I printed off one of Nancy Watt's backgrounds from her Art Deco Designs CD which can be purchased here at - Create and Craft
I also printed off, cut out then foam backed the picture of the gentleman and foam mounted it so that it stood slightly proud of the background.
The 2 curtains were added last - while glueing the two side flaps together just catch the long outer edges of the curtains between the two flaps before applying the second flap.

Decorate the outside of the card (I glued a printed framed panel from the CD to the back for the greeting) Peel offs and a printed white greyhound finished the card.

When the card is flat the curtains should look shut, but pulling on the sides should open them.

Gosh,  I hope this all makes sense LOL!!

Nancy Watt's - My Craft Studio - Art Deco Pack

As I've said before I love Nancy's artwork and so was grateful to the lovely Stephanie and Zoe for yet another chance to make some samples for the Pick of the week on Ideal World's Create and craft (started on 1st January 1210)

The software was simple to use, the beautiful images are all interchangeable making it easy to construct your own  picture scenes using the figures, icons, colours and backgrounds on the cd, you can also print an image to any size up to A4 without losing picture quality, so it's easy to print off large customised pictures for an A4 sized card, all images can be colour changed as well.
This one cd was packed with things, there are ready made cards, Toppers, Picture frames, Large images of Ladies with hats, Digital stamps for you to colour (see "Putting On the Ritz card above)
You can also print off your own custom envelopes and inserts to match your cards.
Using the "Die Cut Studio" also on the cd you can print off your own Pyramage and Invertage images too.

I know it sounds like i'm overselling the product but I'm a big believer that if you find a cool craft product tell the world!

If you like the Art Deco era this cd is a must have

Xmas Card for Leonie 2009

This is a 10"X8" Christmas card I made for Leonie Pujol, we met her for the first time a couple of months ago at one of her fund raiser events in Harlow, Essex she was as sweet and lovely as she appears on tv.
I kept the card itself quite simple as I wanted my sketch to be the main focal point.
In this photo though the hair shows up a lot darker than it is in reality.
I used thick foam pads to make the image "pop" from the card and she's holding a "Dazzles" Gold peel off bauble that I stuck onto red mirror card and cut out.
I hope she likes it !?

Retro Christmas card

I'm not too sure what happened here I was chopping up left over pieces of green paper and this weird shape "emerged" I quite like it though the card looks sort of simple but "retro", now all I have to do is find an odd shaped  envelope to fit it
